Wes Carr is a singer and songwriter known as the winner of Australian Idol in 2008. Born in Adelaide, South Australia, Carr moved to Bondi as a 15-year-old. Before he auditioned for Australian Idol, Carr performed and had regular resident gigs around Sydney including fronting the band Tambalane with Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies. On 23 November 2008, Carr became the latest winner of Australian Idol. This album contains eight never before released covers plus an acoustic version of ‘Love Is An Animal’. The songs are tracks that have influenced Wes throughout his life.
